Saipem has received the final award for two major projects, Northern Endurance Partnership (NEP) and Net Zero Teesside Power (NZT), aimed at advancing the East Coast Cluster's CO2 transportation and storage initiatives in the UK. These projects, valued at approximately €650 million with a duration of 30 months, mark a significant milestone in the UK’s journey toward achieving Net Zero targets.

The NEP project, awarded by Net Zero North Sea Storage Limited—a joint venture of bp, Equinor, and Total Energies—includes the Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and Installation (EPCI) of a 143 km offshore pipeline. Similarly, the NZT project, led by bp and Equinor, involves the EPCI of a water outfall facility.
Saipem's flagship vessels, Castorone and Castoro 10, will handle offshore and nearshore installations, respectively. Upon completion in 2028, these projects will support the UK’s first zero-emission industrial hub, enabling the transportation and storage of 4 million tonnes of CO2 annually.
This pivotal development underscores Saipem’s commitment to driving the global transition to low-carbon energy solutions.
