EWEC Seeks Developers for New 140 MW Wind Power Project in Al Sila

Emirates Water and Electricity Company (EWEC) has invited developers and consortiums to submit Expressions of Interest (EOI) for a new wind power farm near the existing utility-scale wind project in Al Sila.

The Al Sila wind project, a greenfield renewable energy initiative, is set to have a generation capacity of up to 140 megawatts (MW) AC. Once operational, this Independent Power Project (IPP) will more than double the UAE's current wind generation capacity, significantly advancing the nation's renewable energy goals and expanding its wind energy footprint.
