Abu Dhabi, UAE — The Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) has signed framework agreements worth AED6 billion ($1.64 billion) with 12 UAE-based manufacturers to locally produce critical industrial equipment, including pressure vessels and cables. This move aligns with the national ‘Make it in the Emirates’ initiative aimed at strengthening local manufacturing and supply chain resilience.

The agreements, signed at the ongoing Make it in the Emirates Forum in Abu Dhabi, were witnessed by Dr. Sultan Ahmed Al Jaber, UAE Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology and ADNOC’s Managing Director and Group CEO.
Supporting Local Manufacturing
Nine companies were selected to manufacture ten types of pressure vessels, including ADOS Engineering Industries, Arabian Industries, Berg Industries, Euro Mechanical & Electrical Contracting, Metalfab Middle East, Micoda Process Systems, Nash Engineering FZCO, Polar Specialized Industries, and United Metal Works Est. Factory Abu Dhabi.
Three cable manufacturers—Dubai Cable Co. (PVT) Ltd, Mark Cables, and National Cable Industry—will supply four types of cables under the agreement.
Strategic Impact and Economic Value
ADNOC stated that the initiative is expected to create up to 1,300 skilled private-sector jobs, reduce equipment delivery times, and mitigate global supply chain risks. The manufacturing activities will span key industrial zones such as ICAD, KEZAD, Dubai Industrial Park, Jafza, and industrial hubs in Sharjah and Umm Al Quwain.
The agreements form part of ADNOC’s broader In-Country Value (ICV) programme, which has already injected AED242 billion ($65.9 billion) into the UAE economy and facilitated the employment of 17,000 Emiratis in the private sector since 2018.
Future Outlook
ADNOC has announced plans to procure AED90 billion ($24.5 billion) worth of locally manufactured products by 2030. The ICV programme aims to drive an additional AED200 billion ($54.5 billion) into the national economy over the next five years.
“This initiative highlights ADNOC’s success in strengthening our supply chain, expanding the UAE’s industrial base, and creating private-sector jobs,” said Yaser Saeed Almazrouei, ADNOC Executive Director, People, Commercial and Corporate Support. He also encouraged local businesses to explore manufacturing opportunities through the Make it with ADNOC app.
By leveraging long-term partnerships and strategic localisation, ADNOC continues to play a critical role in advancing the UAE’s industrial and economic goals.
